Play whichever format suits your game at ClubEG events.

Best Score, Sun Scramble or Slammer Tour Match-Play

We aim to make golf as enjoyable as possible for everyone — whether you like to compete or prefer to play just for fun — so we offer three format options on our GolfAways and during local events.

ClubEG Golf Formats
1) ClubEG Best Score
Very loose and just for fun, this format works for twosomes, threesomes and foursomes. Everyone plays their own ball and after the hole, the best score in your group is your team score. Hand in your scorecard after golf for a shot at prizing for best score, most honest score and for a random team.

2) Sun Scramble
Slightly more competitive, in this two or three-person format, everyone hits every shot and you keep using the best shot until the ball is in the hole. Hand in your scorecard after golf for a shot at prizing for best score, most honest score and for a random team.

3) Slammer Tour Match-Play
This is competitive but it’s still pretty loose and fun. You play against the others in your group for ranking, points and bones. You do need a free Slammer Tour account for this format but we can set you up in a jiffy. Prizes are awarded to an overall event winner, group winners — and winners of the optional skins and closest-to-the-pin contests for a small entry fee.

And there's more good news!

Tee Blocks
Participants get to play the tee blocks that are most appropriate for their type of game. In your profile you will see a Tee Block Assignment (TBA) between T1 and T7. TBAs map you to specific tee blocks on each course, making the game much more fun for everyone.
